The Montebello Unified School District has partnered with the College of Engineering, Computer Science, and Technology at the CSULA and the Infrastructure Academy to create the Garrett Morgan Program at CSULA. The goal of this partnership is to build a pipeline of diverse, well-qualified young women and men for the transportation industry. We will work with high school students and teachers (using a train the trainer model) to offer academic courses, workforce readiness training, extracurricular activities, and career placement to prepare and place students into a Science Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) college track. We will emphasize transportation as an industry sector.
