Human resources are the key to a successful deployment of ITS in transit agency. It is important that organizations have people in place that know how to create disparate parts of an organization into a team, set realistic goals, implement and use the technology, interpret the data, and derive the optimum benefits from the system. These staffing needs transcend to all departments. How does an agency that is planning and ITS deployment ensure that its organization is appropriately staffed to ensure a successful and profitable implementation? This course will address these questions and provide a toolkit to recruit, interview, hire, train, and retain employees who are critical to an ITS purchase and deployment
