I teach 9th-12th grade Auto Technologies. We teach mechanical repair to include powertrains, drivetrains, electronics, brakes, tires, and a brief segment on alternative fuels. Hybrid vehicles are discussed, however we do not have an example available to the students at this time. We do have an introductory course in collision technology. I am especially proud of my u-fix-it, you-own-it program. My students can diagnosis a vehicle for damage, write a repair order, compare vehicle value against these repairs, complete these repairs, and take possession of the vehicle once all safety inspections are complete. To date around 20 students have earned their vehicles.
