Certified Electric Vehicle Technician

The 16-week certificate program is designed to train a new generation of technicians to work in the R&D, manufacturing, technical support, repair and maintenance of electric vehicles. This certificate program covers comprehensive topics of high voltage hybrid and electric vehicle technologies through lectures, and hands-on workshops. Students will have an opportunity to design, fabricate various components of an EV and convert an internal combustion car into a 100% electric car.
Course Weekly Schedule: 12 hours/week

• High voltage vehicle safety & practice
• Hybrid engines
• Electric Motors
• Electric propulsion systems
• Electric circuit systems
• Power inverter systems
• DC-DC converter system
• Computerized system controllers
• Energy management systems
• Latest development in battery technologies
• Lithium ion battery technology
• Basic maintenance and repairs of hybrid vehicles
